The signature on the dial is for the European market, and the brand name is not abbreviated.
This is preferred over the abbreviated brand name for the American market.

The design is beautiful, with a lot of Art Deco influence.

This is one of Jaeger-LeCoultre's famous black dial minute track watches, and while most of them tend to have been customized or stored in poor conditions, this watch is in very good condition.

The movement in this watch and its associated Caliber 11 are historically significant because it was the first Jaeger-LeCoultre mechanical to be fitted to Reverso models between 1933 and 1950.

The tank-shaped Caliber 438 in the rectangular Reverso was the so-called Jaeger-LeCoultre 11 ligne movement.

Caliber 438/4 is manufactured in-house at Jaeger-LeCoultre and runs consistently at 18,000 half-beats per hour.

The finishing is beautiful and every detail of the gears and plates is meticulously finished.

The case back is stamped "Acier Inoxydable, Fab. Suisse".

This is French for Swiss-made stainless steel.

The scratches found on many military watches are not present on this watch, indicating that it was opened only with the correct tools.

The crown, however, has beautifully preserved edges, indicating that it has been stored almost unused.

The strap provided is a black crocodile-type leather strap with a steel pin buckle.

Neither the belt nor the tailstock are Jaeger-LeCoultre products.

Condition: The watch is in basically good condition with no noticeable major scratches.

There are very few scratches and white spots on the sub-seconds dial.

Please refer to the photos.

Overhaul was completed in March 2022.
