This is a vintage Longines Super Compressor Diver ref.7494-2.
During the 1960s and 1970s, Longines developed countless "tool watches" for specialized purposes, and the Longines 7494-2 Diver is one of its most iconic models.
To guarantee incredible water resistance, Longines has equipped this model with a new 42 mm “Super Compressor” case patented by case maker Ervin Piqueres.

This innovative case allows the deeper the watch is, the tighter the caseback seals against the gasket.
The two hatched crowns indicate that a super compressor case was used to ensure water resistance to a depth of 200 metres.
Longines recently reissued this diver's watch, which was first released in 1959.
The "new" Legend Diver stayed true to the original in size and design.
Here we introduce one of the original models, the 1966 model.
The 42mm size is still perfectly reasonable today, and it pairs perfectly with the dark green NATO-style strap.

In order to preserve the originality, the scratched part of the crystal has been left as it is.
The watch itself is in very good condition.
It was overhauled by a craftsman in April 2023.
