Vintage Rolex Oyster Speed King watch Ref. 4220 made in 1946
A magnificent example of a Rolex Oyster Speedking Precision made in 1946.
With its beautiful original and unrestored dial, it oozes 1940s style and charm.
The small 30mm Oyster case has some signs of aging on the case back, but is in good condition considering its age.
The dial is original (unrestored) and in excellent condition with matching rose gold flat batons and hands.
To complete this magnificent piece, it is fitted with a new high quality lizard strap.
Case
The stainless steel "boys size" case is in good condition for its age.
It has some marks but is in good condition considering its age.
The case is 30mm overall without the original Rolex Oyster winding crown.
On the inside of the caseback, all markings are engraved precisely as expected.

This watch was originally a men's watch, but is now available in women's sizes or small men's sizes.
Dial
Typically watches of this model have had their dials restored, but this dial is completely original (unrestored).

Movement
High-grade 17 jewel hand-wound movement in very good condition and perfectly serviced.
The movement is signed.
Rolex Precision, 17 rubies, Swiss Made, Patented Superbalance.
It also retains its original Rolex Oyster winding crown.

About accessories
As with many vintage watches that are over 70 years old, the original certificates and boxes have been lost or discarded over the years.
However, even though this watch does not have the original box or certificate, the reference number, markings, signature and hallmarks are all correct, indicating that this watch was made around 1946.
