This is a wonderful example of a Rolex Oyster Chronometer Ref. 2595 manufactured in 1941.
Full of 1940s style and charm, it features luminous numerals and arrowhead batons, luminous pencil hands and a rare red center seconds arrow hand.
It's a beautiful old Rolex.
There is also a plaque on the back of the case that appears to be the name and address of the original owner, a British officer of this era.
The entire watch is left unpolished.
Very high quality 18 jewel chronometer movement has been fully serviced by a watchmaker.
Comes with a new high quality lizard strap.
Case
The pristine stainless steel case and flat bezel show light wear from age but are in good condition for their age.
The case size is 29mm wide excluding the Rolex Oyster screw-down crown and 36mm long including the lugs.
The case back is expected to have all markings correct.
It retains the Rolex model reference number 2595 and serial number 127218.
Typically watches of this age will have worn or illegible markings on the outer caseback, but this watch is still in good condition.
